Individual Child & Adolescent Therapy

If your child or adolescent is struggling with emotional dysregulation or mental health issues and or has been previously diagnosed with a mental health issue and you are looking for weekly or bi-weekly support, then this is the right place for you. Play is the language of children and teens and I engage in therapeutic services for them through the lens of play. For many children in-home sessions are the most appropriate however at times virtual sessions are available.

What is individual therapy?

Child therapeutic services are usually fifty minutes long and are engaged on a weekly or biweekly basis. I am trained to see children 0-5 and 6-19 years old that are struggling with a large range of clinical difficulties. My therapeutic framework is based on play as play it is the language of children. I work from multiple frameworks such as psychodynamic, relational, CBT, systemic, etc. that are based on the child, family, and issue they are facing.

How can individual therapy help you?

I am a firm believer that everyone can benefit from a non-judgmental person as a support in their life. If your child/teen has a specific difficulty, individual therapy can support them and you in managing this and learning coping skills to support you. However, therapy isn’t just for the difficult times, it can also be incredibly useful in helping you and your children thrive by supporting them in raising their emotional intelligence.

If you resonate with any of this individual therapy is right for you:

My child/teen has a specific difficulty they or I want them to work through

My child/teen has a previous diagnosis and has had therapy before.

I’m overwhelmed by my child’s/teen’s behaviors.

My child/teen is struggling with irritable mood or anxious moods most days.

I’m looking to help my child/teen raise their emotional intelligence and set them up for success.
